Add some retro holiday humor to your collection with this rare 1960s Kreiss & Co. Christmas Psycho Ceramics figurine. Featuring an angry-faced holiday character in a green outfit with yellow hair and a striped Santa hat, this quirky figure still holds its original hang tag that reads: “Who hid the mistletoe??”
Maker: Kreiss & Co. (marked “Psycho Ceramics” on base)
Era: 1960s
Material: Hand-painted ceramic
Height: Approx. 6″ (standard size for the line)
Condition: Bright paint with light vintage wear; retains both the original Kreiss hang tag and the Woolworth’s 79¢ price tag on the base – very hard to find together.
These Christmas Psycho Ceramics were novelty imports sold at Woolworth’s in the 1960s and are now highly sought by mid-century collectors.
Collector’s Note: Retains its original Woolworth’s 79¢ price tag. Very few Kreiss Psycho Ceramics survive with their store label intact, and this detail makes the piece especially rare and desirable. The Woolworth’s tag is a direct link to its mid-century retail history and adds meaningful collector value
